NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy: What is expected of researchers (and how can libraries help)?

The new National Institutes of Health (NIH) Data Management and Sharing Policy aims to foster good practices of managing and sharing scientific data generated by NIH-funded research projects. In this Love Data Week virtual event, three NIH officers will provide an overview of the policy and highlight what is important to grant applicants and awarded researchers. They will also discuss resources and services that are available to support the research communities. The speakers are:
• Cindy Danielson, Associate Director, Systems Integration, Office of Research Reporting and Analysis, NIH Office of Extramural Research
• Lisa Federer, Acting Director, Office of Strategic Initiatives, National Library of Medicine (NLM), NIH
• Ellen Wann, Team Lead, Scientific Data Sharing Policy Division, NIH Office of Science Policy

Their presentation will be followed by a moderated Q&A with the audience.
