Engaging Global Themes & Authentic Resources: Designing Units for Socially-Minded Learners with Catherine Ousselin
Let's connect and collaborate on designing on globally-minded thematic units, activities, and assessments using authentic and curricular resources. Catherine Ousselin will facilitate a demonstration of designing a unit from the ground up and will share supportive and engaging interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational tasks that incorporate ACTFL's 6 Core Practices.  
Act 1: Choosing global themes for Novice and Intermediate levels
Act 2: Discovering and using the engaging and meaningful authentic resources 
Act 3: Unit development, instruction, and assessments
Finale: Curating and collaborating!

Speaker: Catherine Ousselin teaches French and is a Digital Literacy Coach for Mount Vernon Schools in Washington State. She is a frequent presenter and workshop presenter on curriculum development and technology integration. Catherine is the president elect of PNCFL and the AATF Director of Media Integration and Curated Resources. She was a 2018 TOY finalist for ACTFL.
